The Minneapolis
Medical Research Foundation (MMRF) is the "hidden jewel" of the Twin Cities.
Important, cutting-edge medical research is performed at the MMRF, yet
it is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The Hidden JewelSM
promotion
is meant to increase awareness of the MMRF while offering supporters a
unique premium for their donation of time or money.
Donate $100
or more to the MMRF and choose a beautifully faceted natural precious
gem- an emerald, ruby or sapphire. Donate $50 and receive a semi-precious
jewel - an amethyst, aquamarine, citrine, opal, peridot, garnet, tourmaline,
or zircon. These jewels make unique and memorable holiday, anniversary,
birthday, graduation, Mother's Day, and Valentine's Day gifts and also
serve as a thank-you to our donors. Jewels are a reminder that health
is precious and the medical research programs at the MMRF are Hidden Jewels.
After we
receive your donation, we will send you a certificate to pick out your
gem at the MMRF office. At that time, you can choose from gemstones that
are pre-set in silver or gold or you can choose to have your gems custom
set.
Your cash
donation to the MMRF is completely tax deductible. Each donor is limited
to one jewel per calendar year, but we encourage you to donate annually
and tell your friends about the Hidden JewelSM.
